This gasket kit comes with MLS (multilayer steel) head gaskets and RCM (rubberized metal) base gaskets. MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) is used in high performance head gasket applications. They consist of several layers of uniquely engineered steel riveted together, outside the gasket surface for ease of installation, and provides a high performance seal.

MLS head gaskets eliminate the use of pin O-rings - RCM (Rubberized Metal) consists of a 0.020 thick stainless steel. Spring steel base covered with 0.001 thick heat resistant Viton rubber on both sides. A very resistant gasket that does not require retightening.
